Worldviews are a crucial factor in every day life because it helps determine how one reacts to every situation in life and the way that they choose to live out that worldview through actions. I have a Christian worldview and I truly believe that being in a class where I am put in a situation to question and learn more about Jesus has helped to shape me into having an even stronger faith in God and to grow me as a Christian woman. Through learning and growing in my faith, I have solidified my Christian Worldview and it has been an influential factor in the way I think and live. My worldview is surrounded and based off of many presuppositions, assumptions, and beliefs through resources such as God and the Bible (Wilkens & Sanford, 2009, p. 21). My Christian worldview is one that is built off of faith in God and the word coming directly from The Bible. It is my belief that The Bible is God’s true and holy word and acts as a guideline for our lives as human beings while living on Earth. As an individual who holds a Christian worldview, it is my goal to live out my life in the same way that Jesus did in the Bible and to follow the guidelines that the Bible has created. I believe that God is an intentional god and His intentions are for humans to be on earth to fulfill a purpose, whether that be saving a life as a doctor or to build homes and wells in an African village. “But I've always wondered if, when we want to do something that we know is right and good, God places that desire deep in out hearts because He wants it for us and it honors Him” (Goff, 2012, p.96).
