There was a time when cheating was rare in schools, but today the whole “importance of learning” has almost been eliminated. Instead, students are more focused on not doing the work, copying, hoping to get a decent grade, and have forgotten what school’s true purpose is. School exists so that we students can become educated for the future, not so we can cheat our way to become successful. We should challenge ourselves. Cheating can result in many things, including getting in trouble. Every school has the rule of no cheating, but not every student follows it. Sometimes, if a student is caught cheating on a test or assignment, they may only be given a warning. Other times, when unlucky, they may get a zero for that grade, or even get suspended in serious cases. No student wants to get in trouble so cheating should never have to occur.…show more content…
The only way to take part in cheating is to copy another’s hard work and take credit for it. It is completely unfair to the person who got copied because they may have worked hard and took the responsibility to study, while the cheater took the easy way out. If you end up getting a better grade than the person you cheated off of, it can make that person feel used and bad about themselves. Also, if you decide to cheat off a person who you think may get a good grade and they do not, you may end up with an even worse grade. Most importantly, cheating will not give you a good education. By cheating, you are not learning what is being taught and therefore, you will have a hard time learning the skills you need and passing. If you plan on going to college, you will need all the education you can get. If you cheat your way all through school, you won’t know anything by the time you graduate. This can cause you to have a hard time finding a job or career because you won’t know what to
