The most interesting books are the ones that keep you up late at night and you want to know what is going to happen with the next chapter. These three books will most likely do that. These books are all about problems the character has encountered and how they survive it and are eventually rescued. All three are non-fiction and are in the outdoors. If you love the outdoors, Then these three books are going to be the perfect fit for you. Hatchet By Gary Paulsen Brian Robeson is a thirteen year old from the state of New York. His parents are divorced and he is going to visit his dad up in the Canadian Forest. As Brian is flying up North, the pilot is giving him flying lessons but as he is doing so, the pilot has a heart attack during it and dies. Brian is now in control and is the new pilot of the plane and needs to land it safely onto a lake in the forest. He safely landed the plane and got onto land but is now stranded by himself until someone else rescues him. During the couple days he is stranded, he gets attacked by a moose, porcupine, and a skunk spray. He suffered broken bones from these attacks and loss his eye sight by the skunk. Brian Robeson is in the northern forest near Canada and it is spring and winter is approaching within a couple days. Winter has come and Brian needs to learn how to survive throughout the forest in the winter and needs to learn survival skills to survive without dying. As in the book Hatchet, he meets some animals such as a skunk and now mice and encounters some wars between them. Brian has the lucky hatchet, as in every book, that he uses to kill his prey for food. This is a very interesting book and I love survival books that keep you on the edge of your seat. This would be a great read for you if you love the outdoors and you are use to surviving with Mother
