The World Horse Welfare is a charity that is based around the world. The locations in the UK are Aberdeenshire, Lancashire, Norfolk and Somerset. They allow people to come and volunteer with the horses before they are rehomed. Most of their cases are abused or neglected horses. The Charity began in 1927. They put a stop to British horses being slaughtered. They do their best to ensure that every horse is treated with respect, compassion and understanding. They work with horses, their owners, communities, organisation and governments to improve the welfare standards and stop all the suffering to these animals. They accept donations from the public to help with the costs of care for the rescued horses. They also do fundraising opportunities such as bake sales, sponsored rides and plant…show more content…
The public can also carry out these events to send in the donations they have made. They have magazines that people can receive each month which provides their latest news and accomplishments. You can also view this magazine online through their website. They also have an online shop where you can buy products related to their charity which has there logo printed on them. They are only open to receive calls between eight thirty in the morning and five thirty pm at night between Monday and Friday.
