In the article, “ The School Days of an Indian Girl”, the author, Zitkala-Sa explains about her childhood memories as an native Indian girl who was taken form her family to study at a missionary school. At the beginning of the article she was on a train to Red Apple County where she will be living and studying. Her experience on the train was unpleasing as she was being laughed at because of her curly toes by the pale people. Then she arrived at the house.
