Ever since I was a child, I knew what I wanted as a career: a veterinarian. I’ve always had a passion for animals, and nothing could make me happier than to work with them every single day and to give them the help that they need. I’ve planned out what steps I’m going to take in order to reach my goal. As I began my senior year of high school, I started my search for potential colleges to further my education in the veterinary field. After looking at all of my options, I decided that Milwaukee Career College is the perfect fit for me. They will not only teach me the information I need to know to graduate, but I get hands on experience that will help me out significantly. I will begin taking classes in order to be a veterinary assistant. I chose this as my first step because it will allow me to have experience in the veterinary field as I further my education to become a veterinary technician. Experience is important because employers want someone who knows what they are doing. Because of how long I will be going to college, I know that I will have an enormous amount of debt. Receiving this scholarship will cut that amount down, which also cuts down the stress of worrying about it and will allow me to focus on my career and my education. Instead of concerning myself with debt, I will be concerning myself more with my school work. Additionally, I won’t have to stress myself out by trying to have as many hours at a job as I possibly can in order to pay for school, helping me focus on my studies. Receiving scholarships can also catch the attention of employers. Since this scholarship is only awarded to one student of Milwaukee Career College, employers will view winning it as a huge accomplishment. It would significantly help my chances of getting a
