Jimmy, the main character of the play Veins and Thumbtacks by Jonathan Marc Sherman, is the character that I am performing. He’s alcoholic and has emotional problem. He married to his wife Annie because her pregnancy. They met at elementary school, and they both are orphan. He grew up with his grandmother, and he said that he want to kill his grandmother in front of her all the time, but he never did. After Annie gave birth to their child, Jimmy and Annie had a fight on the child’s name, and eventually they name their child Wendy, which is also Jimmy’s ex-girlfriend’s name. Jimmy later joined the Laugh Riot’s bi-weekly amateur because he wants to be comedian. However, the story is a tragedy of Jimmy’s life. I had a similar childhood to Jimmy.
