The music he made was inspiring to many people. You may ask why, but it's because many could relate to what he was saying in his music. His real name is Tupac Shakur, but before he had that name his name was Lesane Parish Crooks. The speaker states," Tupac Shakur means shining serpent”(BIO). Tupac was born in June 16, 1971 in New York City. He only lived with his mom named Afeni Shakur. After all that Tupac would have a difficult childhood being raised in the projects in New York. As Tupac was in the rap group he released his first solo album in 1991. The name of the album is “2pacalypse Now." He had a couple of hit songs in that album. All Eyez On Me was the album he released 4 months after being released for sexaul assult charge. “Tupac was a intelligent man” (RollingStone). Signing to Death Row Records, and on that album he sold over 9 million copies. In the music industry there are well known artist Tupac being one at the time. There was also another well known artist that Tupac was close to but things happened between the two. His rap name was Biggie Smalls. He would actually rap about the reality of life and poor condition he would live in, and using words that added a lot of meaning to his songs. Tupac said, “Never tried to brag about wealth and greatness”. This proves even though he was living in bad condition and poor, he is still the same person inside. He was a strong and powerful person, but he showed to be a calm and sensitive in his poem and some of his songs. In 1993 in released his book called, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete”. A book containing more than 200 pages. It had written verses of poems that he made. Some of his poems were about depression, but he would also write poems about love and distress.
