I don't agree with the author at all. After the speaker exclaims of how the students have “too much privacy.” (Wilson title) he goes on to to argue that students “never asked for this responsibility.” (Wilson paragraph 18) “It's not fair to the students.”(Wilson paragraph 18) even though they are 18 and are legally adults so they shouldn't be treated like children. The argument confuses me.The author recalls the story of an “acquaintance” of the author “receiving a stunning phone call from her daughter's former former roommate” that their “daughter never graduated from college.”(Wilson paragraph 1) The chances of this happening are not that extremely common.
