It Wasn’t Just A Kiss It is unthinkable for somebody to genuinely comprehend the profundity of feeling that an administration part encounters getting back home from a war. The United States finished World War II with a triumphant and started the voyage home. Military men all returning home after one of the deadliest wars in would like to see their family. Months and months of an existence loaded with the most astounding highs and lows of feelings at least on the descending incline all reaching an end once the feet of these men touched American soil. At first look one would think the couple were commending quite a while separated with a sentimental kiss, yet as we probably are aware there is a more profound story behind a minute in time caught by photography.The kissing sailor photograph is an iconic image that may portray as romance, but it can also present adoration, triumph, and men dominance. There are different philosophies incorporated into the photo, referred to by numerous names, for example, V.J. Day in Time Square, Time Square Kiss, and Sailor Kissing Nurse in Time Square. The photograph has changed everybody’s lives by making a conclusion and excitement in one's life. The iconic picture was taken on August 14, 1945, in Time Square, New York, by Alfred Eisenstaedt. This day is also called V-J Day, the day when Japan surrounded to the Unites States, ending World War II. In this picture George Mendonsa, a Navy Sailor, is kissing Greta Zimmer, a dental assistant. George was in his Navy uniform that day drinking at bars in Time Square celebrating the victory over Japan.Greta was walking around in Time Square as well, in her dental assistant uniform, trying to figure out herself if the war was really over.
