The theme of the Epistle of Hebrews is built around the word better. The theme of Romans and Galations it is a theme of salvation by faith in the sacrifice of Christ. Hebrews explains the meaning of the new covenant and connects the incarnation with the atonement. The word better is used in a series of comparisons to show how God's revelation in Christ is superior to the revelation that came through the law, especially as the new law was applied to the Levitical priesthood.
