The issue of homelessness remains unsolved, despite the efforts of numerous governments and social organisations. The term homeless is perceived by many as living on the streets, however, this statistic does not represent the actual number of homeless people. Furthermore, even the two widely accepted definitions, in Australia, differ in their approaches to assessment of the homeless; and neither is capable of providing accuracy of the numbers.
