The evolution of stock car racing developed with geographical, cultural, economical beginnings and has a large impact today on American culture. NASCAR was founded in February 21, 1948 in Daytona Florida and stands for the National Association for Stock Car Racing. NASCAR was found by Bill France Sr. NASCAR started in Daytona beach Florida, back in 1948. The Daytona area was a spot for racing enthusiasts. France also became involved in racing cars and promoting races. NASCAR held its first race on June 19, 1949, at the Charlotte Speedway in North Carolina. 13,000 fans were on hand to watch Glenn Dunnaway finish the 200-lap race first in his Ford. In the early years of NASCAR people drove regular cars that would be driven on the street.…show more content…
It helped pass time for people and also gave a good amount of cash to the winner to either improve their car or to use out of the race track. Now-a-days NASCAR is a big part of the USA but it isn't bigger than soccer/futbol in the world, yet has a big variety of places it ranges to. It made people enjoy their time back in the days without having to do something expensive or far away. The economical beginning of NASCAR had a good impact on the country. It brought in a good amount of money and helped out the southern states that it started in, but now all of the money being pumped into NASCAR isn't being produced in the outcome and our economy is falling. Back then it was a great start to something though and held up its own without having any bad things coming from it, only happiness and some way to pass time instead of sitting at home.
