Steroids in Major League Baseball “I had an opportunity to play the first part of my career without drug testing, and the second half with it,” said Tony Clark. “As a result of that drug world changing, there are certain considerations we need to make in an effort to put guys in a position where the ones who are doing it correctly aren’t being put in an adverse position” (Bob Sports). Bob Sports is explaining the fact that players taking the drug should be caught but the ones who are not taking the drug should not be falsely accused or put in a position where people think they have taken the drug. First, an athlete will have negative effects on their bodies after their career has ended. However, this is not true because Aroldis Chapman from the Cincinnati Reds threw the hardest pitch ever recorded in Major League Baseball two seasons ago clocked at 106 MPH and has never taken steroids or PED’s. Just this past season, Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins hit a towering home run measured at 510 feet when it landed, he also has never taken steroids or PED’s throughout his career. After seeing these two athletes and realizing that you do not need steroids in the game to be the hardest thrower or the guy that can hit the ball the farthest it proves the fact that steroids need to be banned from Major League Baseball for
