Recreational activities have entertained the world for hundreds of years. Sports are an excellent means of spending one’s leisure time. People love watching and participating in recreational events. Two of the most popular pastimes in the whole world are soccer and football. Although both sports share many similarities, they have a lot of differences. The rules of football and soccer have a lot of specific details. The object of both games is to sprint up the field and score goals. The number of players in the team on the field for both games is eleven. Their duration is another important factor. Soccer is played over 90 minutes and is split into two 45 minutes halves. In football, the game goes on over just 60 minutes split into four quarters. A normal football field is 100 yards long by 53 yards wide, while a soccer field is 100 to 130 yards long and 50 to 100 yards wide. However, soccer players can only use their feet or heads to get the ball into the net. On the other hand, football players can cross the end zone with the ball, run into the end zone and snag a pass, or kick the ball through the posts.…show more content…
