Rosa Clemente’s lecture was mainly about Public schools, white supremacy, racism, race, gender, class, ethnicity, and hip hop culture. She explained how we live in a time now, where white supremacy does not care about us. We have patriarchy and capitalism where men has control over basically everything. We live in a globalized community now because of capitalism. Clemente said everyone has suffered the effects of mass incarceration. I agreed with her on that statement because my brother was put in jail for a crime he did not commit; he was supposed to graduate last year and that situation put him behind in school.
