After reading Robert Leamnson’s article, “Learning (Your First Job)”, I comprehended that I am also a passive observer, as Leamnson displayed several students being passive observers. I correlated to the points Leamnson illustrated as being a passive observer, such as day dreaming or dozing off during class when a teacher has provided a set of prepared notes. For this reason, I agree with the author that being a passive observer is a “recipe for failure” since by observing the teacher you can attain information, however it will not help you acquire knowledge since knowledge cannot be transferred.
