After his two failing campaigns, one being for the presidency, many people labeled Richard Nixon as a loser. They painted him as a man who who wasn’t fit to lead his own state much less the country. Even though they believed his political career was over, Nixon defied the odds and decided to give his presidential dreams one last shot! Richard Nixon was born in the state of California and in 1937 he would go on to graduate from the Duke University School of Law. After some time in the Navy, Nixon would eventually begin his political career by winning one of California’s congressional seats. He would then move on to the Senate in 1950.
