'Puppet Master' David Schmoeller brings us into a world where puppets come to life. In this awesome classic horror movie that is not like most others. Yes they have made 'Childs's Play' , 'Annabelle', 'Demonic Toys'. Puppet Master is in it's own rhelm of terror fun movie horror fans will love. It's was a sunny day on the beach of the Bodega Bay Inn, a hotel right on the cliff. We focus in on the room of Andre Toulon (William Hickey) an old, lonely, man working on his unique puppets. Clearly this his passion, as the first puppet Jester, moves his head into 3 distenct directions. The scene is intense with a twist you wouldn't see coming. It is now present day at a local college as we focus on Professor Alex Winter (Paul Le Mat) sleeping in his office to the most horrific nightmare of a sucide. The following night at the local carnival with Dana (Irene Miracle) a fortune teller, clearly to me it seemed she was feeding this couple a story to suit there smile. In the moments to come the Dana has a vision of herself in the hallway being chased. This scene was comedic, the fortune teller clearly was coning these people. I think that was the point though, I loved how legendary horror actress Barbara Crampton made a cameo. Following past that we go to New York City into a company building PRA. Pensa Research Inc. With a group of sceientist working on studies that invole the imagination. These group of people are like no other, they all have gifts. Clarissa (Kathryn O'Reilly) has visions of rape in the elevator as well as the bedroom she is staying in. Back down in Neil's coffin we meet pinhead, a tiny puppet with a small head hiding in the coffin. Dana Hadley (Irene Miracle) one of the group members gives the best performance in this movie. In the entire dinner scene she shows her wrath. Soon telling us that there special powers is there magicians as some would say to some degree meaning pshychics. Neil Gallagher (Jimmie F. Skaggs), brought all these people together years earlier. To help learn that the egyptins knew to how to give life to figurines. It doesn't take too long for this movie to kick in, once all the puppets start murdering people. It becomes a fun roller coaster ride. The puppets Pinhead, Blade, Tunneler, and Leech Women, who is my personal favorite, were all scary, some made me laugh more then curl up in fear. I didn't think I would be scared by any of these puppets, yet leech woman as well as Blade were intense. In the end of the movie I loved them all.
