Hello. I’m Athena Meyer. If you are reading this, then you should know that the world is ending, or at least it seemed to be at the moment. Life is literally an inferno. I’ll let you figure out what it means. You might be thinking "Isn't the future supposed to be exciting and filled with technology?" It was. Everything was perfect. Each morning, I would wake up to technology in the air. Everyone was happy. I had a wonderful family of 5, living in a magnificent house that overlooks the sea. Kids would play in the streets, knowing that no bad would ever harm them. That is, until the bombings and massacres started. It’s like a storm cloud over the sun. Plus, natural disasters are happening more often. Though, I wouldn’t call them natural. Besides bombings and natural disasters, there is another problem. There was an outbreak of all diseases, such as Ebola, polio, Lupus, Influenza (otherwise known as the flu), Creutzfeldt - Jakob disease, diabetes, AIDS, asthma, cancer, and the common cold. Of course, the symptoms are ten times stronger. And none of them can be cured.…show more content…
On the other hand, this is coming from a mere high schooler. Yet, I have been proven correct on some terms. My city has already started building shelters…For useful survivors. What I mean by “useful survivors” are those survivors that could be useful to others. A notice has been sent to all citizens of the Reunited States of America, or should I say new “laws”. The unhealthy should be left out of the shelter’s walls; meaning to die. That would also be including me, since I have polio. By my calculations, that should leave our country a population of…967,431,245, since about 2/3 of the people of RSA are dying, weakened from the outbreaks.
