William Henry Harrison was born in Virginia on February 9, 1773. He is known as the oldest man at age 67 to take the president’s office and the first president to die in the office. Harrison spent thirty-two days and suffered from pneumonia to death on April 4, 1841. Before he became the president he had accomplished quite a lot. He defeated the Indians and British in the war of 1812 and served in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Ohio Senate, and the U.S. Senate. Studying medicine in Richmond in 1791, Harrison changed career paths, joining the First Infantry of the Regular army and heading to the Northwest.
