The Fall of Camelot I believe came down to just one individual and it was obviously King Arthur. Whenever a nation experiences a decline, it’s the ones in power who are responsible. I admit however, that there were multiple events that transpired which led to the eventual demise of Camelot but it was ultimately King Arthur’s reactions that resulted in its fall. One of the most important events that happened was the decision to punish Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere for their intimate relationship. While it has to be recognized that the issue of piety, holiness, or sexual purity was important to the knights, I think their reaction to the situation was disproportionate.
