Franklin Delano Roosevelt Aaron Schneider 11/5/14 Huffman 5th Franklin D. Roosevelt was born in Hyde Park, New York on January 30, 1882. He was the son of James Roosevelt and Sara Delano Roosevelt. The Roosevelts were a wealthy family that allowed Roosevelt to pursue any life he desired. His parents and private tutors provided him with his early education. He attended from, 1896 to 1900, the Groton preparatory school in Massachusetts. Then, in 1903 he graduated from Harvard after only three years, receiving a BA in history. Roosevelt next studied law at Columbia University in New York. Since he passed the bar examination in 1907, he decided to leave Columbia without taking a degree.
