Five Characteristics Of Cloud Computing

Abstract - Cloud computing is set of resources and services offered with internet. Cloud Computing is a network to scale up or down with customer set of IT services requirements. These services are delivered by third party provider with its own infrastructure. Advantages include scalability, efficiency, flexibility, rebounding, and outsourcing non-core activities. Cloud Computing proides a creative business model for organizations to adopt IT services without upfront investment. In spite of the potential gains achieved by the cloud computing, the organizations are slow in accepting it due to security issues and challenges associated with it. Security is one of the major issues which halter the cloud growth. The idea…show more content…
self-serve,convenient) fashion and without any repairs to human interactions with these resources. • Broad network access: These computing resources are available over the network (e.g. Internet) and used by various applications with heterogeneous platforms thin or thick client (such as mobile phones, laptops, and PDAs) situated at a consumer's site. • Resource pooling: A cloud service provider’s computing resources are 'pooled'to serve multiple consumers using either the multi-tenancy with physical model or the virtualizationmodel, "with different virtual and physical resources assigned dynamically and on consumer demand it may reassigned" [1].The pool-based computing paradigm lies in two important factors: economies of scaleand specialization. The pool-based model result is that physical computing resources become 'invisible' to consumers, in general who do not have control or knowledge over the location, formation, and originalities of these resources (e.g. database, CPU, etc.) Example of resources include storage, processing, memory, network bandwidth, and virtual…show more content…
If any leaked data or information and even accidentally, it can turn disastrous quickly for company. A backup plan for cloud may not be able to keep leaking information or data, so it can save from being lost forever once a security breach has occurred and deleted. Investing a top-notch security system is the best deterrent but human error can cost a company everything, even with the best security available. ix) Shared Technology vulnerabilities Shared infrastructure is how IaaS vendors deliver their services in a highly scalable fashion. However, sometimes underlying components are not properly designed to offer strong isolation capabilities for a multi-tenant deployment. New technologies are beginning to solve this problem as they isolate each specific user’s data from other users, but many companies are still vulnerable. A cloud backup plan ca prevent any form of data loss due to shared technology issues. x)Non-existent or inadequate cloud backup Nearly every one of the above incidents that a clod backup system may have prevented company data loss can be noticed. So this may leads to nonexistent or inadequate cloud backup a huge security risk for data in companies. So ultimate goal of cloudHQ is for providing a secure back up system for most of the companies that stores
