The facility manager is responsible for strategic planning to ensure that the day-to-day operations and maintenance, runs smoothly onsite. The facility manager is also responsible for organising / dividing the maintenance employees into teams whilst ensuring diversity within the teams (to obtain the different perspectives) and deploying these teams to meet the business goals. In addition, the facility manager should manage the space within the walkway to ensure that the space is used efficiently (i.e. place management) and is responsible for negotiating contracts with clients and vendors, who wish to carry out their own business(es) (i.e. F&B stalls) on the Marina Bay walkway.
