Civilization is not created, it just happens. It is just something that is a habit that is hard to change. As in going to sleep when tired or making food when hungry. The society people live in nowadays is pretty different from what it was in the time of the book, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding. In the novel, a society broke down due to one persons actions. People now break rules and don’t let others tie them down. Some people do whatever they want and not care what other people may think of them. But on the other hand, there are a lot of people in this world that only do thing to others approval not . The real question is: Do bad societies make people bad or are people just so inheritably evil they can make a society just as evil as themselves? The answer to the question above is obviously people make a society evil. Nowadays media is basically controlling minds. But in the Lord of the Flies , Jack corrupts the littluns and everyone else on the island to do things. This is probably why the world is the way it is. The ‘ every man for themselves’ or the ‘eat or be eaten’ concept. Golding made this idea present within the character Jack Merridew. Like mentioned before, throughout the story , Jack shows that he doesn’t really care about everyone else and their well-being.When Jack took Piggy’s glasses he did not care about how Piggy would go on, he just cared about taking them to make the fire since he could not take their fire like he planned on doing. “ We shall take fire from the others.
