ELIZABETH HOLMES Elizabeth Holmes, founder and chief executive officer of “Theranos”, is an American chemical engineer and entrepreneur. Holmes is just 30 years old and she is “the youngest self-made female billionaire” in the world. According to Forbes 400 List, she is also the third-youngest billionaire and the youngest female billionaire overall. Her source of wealth is blood testing and her net worth is $4.5 Billion. Early Life Elizabeth Holmes was born in 1984 in Washington, D.C. Her both parents had gainful carrier in the government. Holmes was impressed by her great-great grandfather who was a “jack of all trades” as an inventor, engineer, surgeon, and war veteran. When Elizabeth Holmes was asked to why she wanted to develop new methods to take and test blood, Holmes said: “Forty to sixty percent of Americans today are not compliant with even the basic tests that their physicians give them when they do see them, because often they can’t afford it, or they scared of needles.” And in 2003, after dropping out of college at 19 years old, she found her own company named as “Real-Time Cure”. And later, it was changed to “Theranos” which came from therapy and diagnosis. She worked to develop a new method nearly for a decade.
