“Enthusiasm can be thought of as an ardent zeal toward a project or goal that involves risk” (Glassman & McAfee, 1990, p. 4). It is important for a leader to show enthusiasm is contagious and generates enthusiasm in followers (Manning & Curtis, 2012). Dr. King showed his enthusiasm by teaching and providing options on how our nation would achieve the goal of equality among everyone. He informed his followers that the only way to change the laws of this nation was to be involved in the actual vote. There is no need to complain about our nation if individuals did not register to vote, and vote for leaders that have the same goal.
