Copper Sun is a very emotional novel by Sharon M. Draper. The main character Amari, was a normal teenage girl until special visitors came and attacked her village and killed her family. Little did she know, she was about to be on a long journey called the slave trade.. Throughout this novel, Amari learns more about herself.
