I have Congestive Heart Failure. Congestive Heart Failure is a condition where the heart’s pumping power is weaker than normal. Its pumping power is inadequate, and blood moves throughout the body and heart at a slow-moving pace. With the blood lagging, more strain is put on the heart. Thus, the heart cannot pump sufficient oxygen and nutrients throughout the body in a timely manner. However, the heart will still respond to get enough of its necessities throughout the body. Therefore, heart chambers expand, but eventually the hearts muscles will become diminished and will not pump oxygen and nutrients smoothly. Kidneys can retain water and salt causing fluid build up in parts of the body and organs. Once the body has become congested with fluid build-up, the body is infected with Congestive Heart Failure. Symptoms of Congestive Heart Failure are fatigue, shortness of breath, swollen neck veins, and increased frequency of nighttime urination. These symptoms all come as gradual, and worsen over time. The causes of Heart Failure include many circumstances that damage the hearts muscles such as coronary artery disease, heart attacks, cardiomyopathy, and other conditions that overwork the heart.…show more content…
