Disney and other child related movies or TV shows have always hid the harsh realities of how life really is by always finding a solution to even the most impossible problems. As a young child, I fell under the false impression that everything has a positive outcome. In late August, just a week after my eighth birthday, my aunt, Daisy, who at the time was thirteen years old, was moving in with my family to start over at a new middle school in a new state. Having such a young aunt, I imagined our relationship to be like how it was in movies where she’d be like an older sister and we’d have an inseparable bond. Before she moved to Florida, my parents informed me that the real reason she was moving in with us was not because she wanted to live in Florida, but was to correct her immature and juvenile behavior and habits. Believing that everything has a positive outcome, I automatically assumed that my aunt could be saved. Little did I know, her journey to being a mature and respectable person would be a harder journey than what I had prepared myself for.…show more content…
Although I was nervous to finally meet her, I ran and hugged her like as if I knew her my whole life. Everything went great for the first few months until my family got a phone call from her middle school claiming Daisy got into fight with another student and would get suspended for a few days. Having such high expectations for her, I was devastated when I found out and I couldn't comprehend why somebody would do something that so immoral. But I continued to believe that everything would eventually sort itself
