Introduction David Overton has served as The Cheesecake Factory’s CEO since February 1992. He co-founded the company with his parents, Evelyn and Oscar Overton. Mr. Overton created the company’s restaurant and opened the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in 1978 in Beverly Hills, California. He eventually expanded The Cheesecake Factory into an international chain and created two other concepts, Grand Lux Café and RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen. The restaurant initially opened as a producer and distributor of high-quality cheesecakes and other baked desserts. Today, The Cheesecake Factory is an upscale casual dining concept that offers over 200 menu items and approximately 50 varieties of cheesecake and other baked desserts. The Cheesecake Factory headquarters are currently located in Calabasas Hills, California. The Cheesecake Factory is a leader in upscale casual dining because of the five key elements that drive guest experiences and allow them to have a competitive advantage.
