Examining motion pictures can be interesting because it does not only focus on the surface but also examines about what lies inside or within the frames and what are the director’s intention through the scene or message that he or she needs to convey by means of the film or for this situation the scene. For this task, I have picked the film Carrie (1976). This movie is all about a young lady named via Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) who is shy and is hard for her to make friends easily. Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is the outsider of her class. She is an unassuming young lady. During the beginning of the scene the non-diegetic sound is slow and deadening which shows us that fear is approaching. Likewise, the increased beat associates with the scene’s movement. Moreover, the movie is mainly about the emotions experienced by Carrie in this scene. All through this movie puts herself down and lets her classmates to take advantage of her and bully her. However, in this scene her retribution blasts quickly and adequately. Then, De Palma (Director of the movie Carrie) utilizes an eye line coordinate as one of Carrie’s rarely genuine classmate, Sue (Amy Irving), investigates the approaching trick by her friends. As she takes the rope the sole sound heard is the chilling non-diegetic sounds, and in addition to the cheering of the crowd (Carrie’s schoolmates).
