Aristotle, a Greek Philosopher, argued how to achieve happiness. Aristotle believed one must exercise great virtues to achieve true happiness. Atticus Finch, who is an intelligent single father, a lawyer with a great sense of right and wrong, and one of the main characters in the book To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, is someone whom I believe meets Aristotle's requirements for happiness since he is always doing what he considers to be right, no matter what others pressure him to do. Atticus Finch has a great moral character, which was shown when he was polite to Mrs. Dubose, even after he learned of the rude things she said about him.
