Devil’s Playground is a documentary film about several Amish youths who decide whether to remain in or leave their community and faith during the period known as rumspringa. Rumspringa is known as a period of time in the Amish community where Amish teens (usually around the age of 16) can run around and depart from Amish rules and what they believe is deviant before they are baptized as adults in the Amish community. They get to take their time and sample life outside the Amish community. Many drive cars, wear modern clothes, and cut and style their hair in a more fashionable way.
