It can be said that, standing operational plan need established to provide managers a standardized and consistent way handling similar, repetitious occurrence. By using this plan, management avoids the need to ‘reinvent the wheel’ every time a particular situation arises. In addition, such plans ensure that recurring situations are handled consistently over time. Standing plans work best in situations that are stable and there is little change. Standing plan for example, Policies, procedures and rules to guide managerial actions. 7.3.2.1 Policies Policies are guidelines that govern how certain organizational situations will be addressed. Provide guidance to managers who must make decisions about circumstances that occur frequently within the organization. Policies do not state specifically what the decision will be. Rather, they state the boundaries of the decision or what must be considered in the decision.
