The 400 I.M. is extremely challenging race. It’s one of those races that no matter how many times you swim, it you sustain a nervous feeling. Definitely not easy, but there are a few items that can make it a little better. First, when you are at practice you have to work hard. No going easy! One main focus point is to work on tempos and technique. Technique is one of the parts that can make or break your race. Without a strong stroke you can not go fast, the easier and smoother your stroke is, the stronger it will be and you can focus on other important parts.
