After the motherless Campbell sisters, Dani, Courtney, and Jess experience a horrific situation with their abusive alcoholic father they steal his truck and escape through the woods of Canada. Their plan is to go to Vancouver where they can change their names and get lost in the protection of the city. Along the way, they will encounter a situation that will put their very lives at risk which also changes their future.
The well told story immediately engaged me with the characters but it is not for the faint-hearted. The disturbing violence against the sisters is raw and intense. The girls made some very bad choices and it I kept thinking, How could you do such a dumb thing? I had to constantly remind myself they were young inexperienced
