Yellowstone and Hawaii I never thought that you would compare Yellowstone and Hawaii because they don't look the same, they are no where near each other either. There are varieties of similarities between Yellowstone and Hawaii with many differences too. The location of these two places can be examined. First of all, both of these are located over a hot spot. This means that it is over a chamber full of magma. Also, they are both located in the middle of a plate. Hawaii is located on the Pacific plate in the middle of the ocean where as Yellowstone is found on the North American plate in the middle of the continent. On the other hand, Wyoming is hot in the summer but very cold in the winter, because it is farther away from the equator and is closer to the north where it is cold. Furthermore, these places have nothing in common with their history. For instance, Hawaii was once the home of King Kamehameha's court until it moved to Oahu. And it is the youngest island in the Archipelago. In addition to that Yellowstone's human history goes back to more than 11,000 years ago, to the Native Americans, since they had groups in Yellowstone. Besides that interesting fact about Yellowstone, Yellowstone National Park was the first national Park and the United States. Still another fact is that Hawaii is home to the world's largest active volcano Mauna Loa. Also "Hawaii is made up of six volcanoes Mahukona, Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, and Kilauea." In addition, Yellowstone has four types of thermal features geysers, hot springs, fumarole, and mud pots. On the other hand "Yellowstone will erupt", but it will take many years. When Yellowstone erupts it will kill many people. Therefore, There are many similarities and differences between Hawaii and Yellowstone. The most important similarity is that there is a volcano or a hot spot.
