This deception operation did use decoys in several aspects. They were able to furnish fake passports and visas so the anti-communist exiles could smuggle themselves and family members in and out of Russia, along with any secret documents. The secret police would also stage theatrical experiences like shoot outs, high speed car chases, to make the deception appear to be realistic. They were even able to create Potemkin village which is a fake portable village that was staged in different areas. Emirge writers (exiled writers) were brought on tours of these villages so they would write about them to prove that this rouse was real. Yakushev was a great dangle for this operation he pretended to be disappointed with his country while under control
