I read the article “Tablet Computers ‘Widely Used by Under-Fives’” by Sean Coughlan. This article discusses how more and more little kids and toddlers are beginning to use electronics at younger ages. I do not entirely agree on the parenting styles that are allowing these young kids to spend hours on their tablets a day, for three particular reasons. It takes away from their health, education, and social skills.
First, I feel that these kids at such a young age should not even have a tablet in the first place. The article states, “Children use their computers for more than one hour a day” (Coughlan). With this, they are using this time after school to go on their tablets instead of getting the proper exercise they need in order to stay healthy.
