Duracell has launched a campaign called "Trust Your Power", representing this campaign they have created a beautiful commercial featuring Derrick Coleman, a full back for the Seattle Seahawks. Duracell shadows a image that shows the struggle through the eyes of Derrick Coleman since he was young until now. He believed in himself, knowing he could out weigh any possible outcomes to achieve his goals. Him being deaf since the age of three, he knew there was always somebody talking bad behind his back about making it in school sports, but he never let them hold back his desire…show more content… He is defiantly not the kind of man you would call disabled, just differently functioned. In interviews, Coleman has said he's convinced he's a better athlete because his hearing loss has made him work twice as hard to get to where he is. Now, he says, after years of struggling, NFL fans are cheering him on and "I can hear them all."
When I first came across this commercial I figured although he's deaf, he never let adversity stand in his way, on his path to the NFL. I know this commercial has shared to inspire others to trust their power within and achieve their dreams. This commercial shows how deep a passion can be for something that others say you cant do.
In conclusion, It is an awesome commercial, and an even more awesome story. The commercial clearly showed that the power of the "Human will" should never be underestimated. Duracell really put some thought behind this to show everyone hard work pays off. So if anybody or somebody has ever told you that it can't be done, please don't listen. People that pull you under the water, are already drowning, and you know what they say, "misery loves company."You only live life once, don't take anything for granted. Go chase the dreams you always wanted, and let the world hear and watch your story. Everybody has a story to tell, so create a life that makes the stories worth listening
