The wars against the Hyksos were very significant, since they allowed Egypt to rise up against the Hyksos and expel them from the land, reunified Upper and Lower Egypt and established the 18th dynasty. This took Egypt into a new age of wealth and prosperity, which established the 18th dynasty. The Hyksos were foreign rulers from Palestine which had overtaken and corrupted Lower Egypt for 100 years and were permanently expelled by the pharaoh Ahmose. The Hyksos had left both a negative and positive impact on Egypt, because they introduced many foreign products, reunified Upper and Lower Egypt and established the 18th dynasty. When the Hyksos invaded they brought many foreign things with them which later benefited Egypt. The Hyksos introduced new agricultural product, animals and musical instruments to Egypt such as the tambourine, oboe, long-necked lute, 12-string lyre, zebu cattle, horse, hump-backed bull, olives and pomegranate trees. The Hyksos also introduced many weapons and material which later benefited Egypt, since Thutmose III learnt and used the composite bow in battle. The weapons and materials are wheeled carts, horse-drawn chariots, composite bow, Khepresh, bronze swords, scimitars, silver working, spinning, weaving, copper, potter’s wheel body armour and helmets. Other contributions that the Hyksos made to Egypt are trade, and diplomacy with Syria, Crete and Nubia. The war against the Hyksos also allowed Kame and Ahmose to conquer more land and gain more produce. Kamose took cedar, gold, lapis, silver, turquoise, bronze axes, oil, honey, willow, wood and many slaves.
