To be obsessed with something or someone could never have a good turn out. In the movie The Prestige, we are introduced to two characters Angier and Borden it becomes that the two characters are obsessive over one another. Their obsession for one another turned into a big disaster, but the two characters proceeded on with their obsession. Angier became obsessed with avenging his wife’s accidental murder. The two main characters in The Prestige were always trying to get back at one another. By doing so it caused them to act out in dangerous ways that murdered Angier’s wife. Borden was not being careful. The constant competition between the two caused one to lose their lives. When watching the movie, a movie came to mind with similar backgrounds. When Sharon approached the home, she knew something was not right. Following her first instinct, she proceed up the stairs to find Sally lying in Derek’s shirt with rose petals laid out around the room. Sharon approached Sally after their verbal argument, the two became physical, which lead Sally falling off the roof. Because Sharon was not trying to murder Sally, she reached out to help her. Sally pulled Sharon’s arm, trying to get her to fall. Sharon gathered her strength together and Sally fell to her death. Both movies ended with the loss of someone. Borden and Angier started off as close friends. There was a small mistake with the rope that Borden was told not to tie, it lead Angier’s wife to die. Both Borden and Angier tried multiple attempts to end each others career. At the end of the movie, Borden got hung for the crime while he just stayed out of the spotlight. Borden wanted revenge when he shot and killed
