The Tea Party Kathleen Parker Analysis
153 Words1 Page
In her article Kathleen Parker shows the reader the devastating damage that the Tea Party has done to the Republican Party. She does not mince words in her evaluation of their actions. She notes how the Tea Party’s actions have “greatly enhanced (Obama’s) chances for re-election” with their attacks on the Speaker Boehner. Not to mention attacks on his character. Parker lays out plainly that while the Tea Party has done some good in that it “changed the conversation in Washington”, it has worn out its welcome and should be rejected by Republicans. She cuts through the doublespeak that is so deeply entrenched in politics with plain, biting, and perhaps bitter words. She urges a rejection of the Tea Party’s multitude of untruths and misrepresentations.
