The Radicalism of The American Revolution Summary In the book I have chosen to read for this assignment, The Radicalism of the American Revolution by Gordon S. Wood, Gordon attempts to explain how America’s revolution was unlike any revolution before. The people who joined in the revolution were not radicals in the sense that they were killing their leaders and burning down villages like other countries revolutions, for example the French. They were radical in the sense that they completely changed their society. They rid themselves of traditions that had carried on for hundreds of years in Britain and made themselves into something unique.
