Computer hacking is known to lead to malicious widespread dissemination of sensitive information or data that comprises an individual(s), companies or state. This instances of such computer hacking have led to strains in international relations in the past due to mistrust between the states involved. This action is something that tech savvy computer geeks or IT gurus are typically used to or to be safe are capable of doing at will due to its complexities like programming involved, languages used among others so I presumed. I know that such action according to National conference of State Legislatures (2016) comprises the computer crimes therefore punishable in a court of law. Firstly,I do agree that words such as cybercrime ,computer crime or network crime are utilized interchangeably however according to the Office of Legal Education(2010) such ,’ crimes involves the use or target of computer networks.…show more content…
However I do believe for a fact that the U.S court system is able to penalize Marcel Lazar. Basing on this case, according to NCSL as form pf computer crime, unauthorized access" entails approaching, trespassing within, communicating with, storing data in, retrieving data from, or otherwise intercepting and changing computer resources without consent. Under section 2701 on Unlawful Access to Stored Communications (Office of Legal Education, 2010), a felony charge can be brought forward on Marcel Lazar based on four elements that he breached in the law. The First element is,’ Intentional access.’ The suspect intended to access the stored communication of his victims it wasn’t out of the blues that he decided to carry out the act in question. The second element states,’without or in excess of authorization’. In this instance marcel Lazar intentionaly accessed stored information with dissent from the prties or individals
