Technology is evolving and changing everyday. Since the technological revolution, electricity has been necessary for survival. People always are frightened when their job could be compromised because of new technology. These people are always are wrong. New jobs are made every day to replace the old jobs. No matter what, new technology will never replace all jobs. Right now, technology can not replicate how humans think but they are close. Alan Turing, a computer pioneer from the 1950s declared that, “One day there would be a machine that could duplicate human intelligence in every way and prove it by passing a specialized test.” (“Artificial Intelligence (AI)”). Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a software on a computer that can perform tasks that require human-like thinking and reasoning. AI has been around since the mid-20th century. Since then, scientists have tried to make a system that can carry out tasks that need human intelligence and reasoning. AI can perform tasks a lot quicker than a human, but still humans can tell the difference between the two. Alan Turing, in 1950 once said, “That one day there would be a machine that could duplicate human intelligence in every way and prove it by passing a specialized test.” (“Artificial intelligence (AI)”). The Turing test is a questionnaire when the AI and a human are asked the same questions. Then a group of people listen to both the person’s and AI’s responses and have to guess which is the human and which is the AI. So far, all Turing tests that have been performed, people have figured out the difference between the two.
