Every Friday’s night, my family sit down in front of the TV to watch our favorite TV shows on Netflix. It is always the battle between The Office and Parks and Recreation that we have to choose. The Office is a comedy series that is based off the BBC series of the same name. Locates in Scranton, Pennsylvania, this TV show presents a group of typical office workers, where the workday consists of ego clashes and inappropriate behaviors. It was aired on NBC from 2005 to 2013. For example, when Michael learns that a casual game of pool is actually a setup for a blind date, he transforms into Date Mike: “Hi, I’m Date Mike. Nice to meet me. How do you like your eggs in the morning?” (The Office: Michael Scott's Best Quotes). Another example would be when Michael has a talk about diversity to his employees. Oscar states that both of his parents were Mexicans and move to the United States the year before he was born. Michael bluntly says, “Wow, that is a great story. That’s the American dream right there, right? Um, let me ask you, is there a term besides ‘Mexican’ that you prefer? Something less offensive?” (Fallon). Alike, Parks and Recreation has their golden joke lines. Ron Swanson, Leslie’s boss, is a libertarian who hates the government. Every fan must know that Ron despises to interact with others. For example, Ron once says, “When people get a little too chummy with me, I like to call them by the wrong name to let them know I don’t really care about them” (Neelis). Also, Ron loves doing manly activities, such as hunting, fishing, and so on. In one episode, he compares fishing
