On the 24th of September at 7:30 P.M. at the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, the military band, the Third Marine Aircraft Wing Band performed their signature songs that represent what they are truly about and the message they bring to people. The band’s mission is to educate listeners about themselves and their music, entertain the audience with military music, showcase their musical abilities, and recruit future marines. The Third Marine Band still contributes to the conflict in Afghanistan by sending driven volunteers to help out the Marines that are deployed there. The Third Marine Aircraft Wing Band has performed in many different places all over the world such as Orange County Preforming Arts Center in South Carolina, the Hussein palace amphitheater in Babylon, Iraq, Texas Tech in San Marcos, Texas, University of Texas in Austin, Texas, and Texas A&M Corpus Christi Preforming Arts Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Third Marine Band reform extensive array of ensembles including Ceremonial Band, Concert Band, Big Band, Dixieland Band, Party Band, Jazz Combo, Woodwind Quintet, and Brass Quintet. The Concert Band was the band that preformed at the Texas A&M Preforming Arts Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.
